Based on the provisions of Article (45) of Regulation No. (1) of 2016 regarding the organization of the work of local organizations in Libya, as amended by the decision of the Board of Directors of the Civil Society Commission No. (2) of 2025, the Civil Society Commission calls on all local civil society organizations to proceed with completing the procedures for correcting their legal and administrative status, in accordance with the provisions of the updated regulation.
The deadline for rectifying the situation is:
Sunday, May 24, 2026.
This measure comes within the framework of the Commissionโs keenness to regulate the work of civil society organizations, promote the principles of transparency and governance, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of the sector and developing its performance.
