
In an atmosphere of loyalty and appreciation, the Civil Society Commission, represented by its president and board office, along with a group of activists, media professionals and artists, were guests of the family of the late national hero, Younis Boukhmada, at the Iftar meal on Wednesday evening, the 28th of Ramadan, corresponding to March 18, 2026, in the city of Benghazi.
This visit comes as an expression of gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices and honorable national stances made by the deceased. The Commission, along with activists and media professionals, presented a commemorative shield to the family of the deceased, in recognition of his heroic role in fighting terrorism and his contributions to protecting the homeland.
Artists also participated in this humanitarian initiative, in a gesture expressing national unity, by presenting a commemorative plaque to the family of the deceased, affirming that his contributions will remain in everyone’s hearts.
This visit provided an opportunity to recall the life and virtues of the deceased, to emphasize the importance of preserving the values he fought for, and to reinforce the spirit of loyalty and appreciation for those who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
May God have mercy on the deceased, and may He place what he offered in the balance of his good deeds, and inspire his family and relatives with beautiful patience and solace.
