In the context of promoting charitable work and unifying humanitarian efforts, an expanded coordination meeting was held on Thursday, February 12, at the headquarters of the Civil Society Commission in Benghazi. The meeting included 26 charitable organizations and associations working in the field of supporting needy families and providing humanitarian aid in its various forms.
This meeting was convened in recognition of the importance of coordination and integration among organizations working in the charitable sector. Emphasis was placed on the need to organize joint work mechanisms to ensure an effective response to community needs and the optimal use of available resources. The importance of establishing a clear and coordinated mechanism for fundraising operations was also discussed, as this would enhance transparency and guarantee the clarity and integrity of procedures.

The meeting witnessed a discussion of a number of key topics, most notably strengthening communication channels between associations and organizations, and developing the level of coordination with the competent authorities to monitor and regulate the work of civil society organizations, especially with regard to regulatory procedures, obtaining the necessary approvals, submitting notifications, and other related aspects that contribute to organizing and controlling the work in accordance with the applicable legal frameworks.
The importance of exchanging information and experiences between participating organizations was also emphasized, as well as working to integrate roles between them, in order to reduce duplication in the provision of services, raise the efficiency and effectiveness of charitable work, and ensure that aid and donations reach those who deserve them in a fair and organized manner.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that it is important to continue this participatory approach by holding regular quarterly meetings aimed at monitoring progress, evaluating performance, and exchanging views and proposals, in order to develop coordination mechanisms and enhance the sustainability of charitable work, and to better meet the needs of the local community.
